Discover the Power of Our Key Ingredients: Our IV infusions are formulated with powerful ingredients to boost your health and well-being.
1. Kidney and Liver Conditions
Individuals with kidney or liver disease should exercise caution when considering IV vitamin therapy. These organs play a critical role in filtering and metabolizing substances in the body, and high doses of vitamins and minerals can exacerbate existing conditions. Overloading the kidneys or liver with excessive nutrients may lead to toxicity and further damage.
2. Heart Conditions
People with heart conditions, particularly those with congestive heart failure, should avoid IV vitamin therapy. The rapid influx of fluids and electrolytes can place additional strain on the heart, leading to complications such as fluid overload, electrolyte imbalances, and even heart failure.
3. Allergies and Sensitivities
While rare, some individuals may experience allergic reactions to the components used in IV vitamin therapy. Those with a history of allergies to specific vitamins or minerals should inform their healthcare provider to prevent complications. Additionally, people with mast cell activation syndrome or a history of severe allergic reactions should approach IV therapy with caution.
4. Blood Clotting Disorders
Patients with blood clotting disorders, such as hemophilia or von Willebrand disease, should avoid IV therapy due to the potential risk of excessive bleeding. The insertion of an IV needle can cause injury to blood vessels, leading to uncontrolled bleeding in these individuals.
5. Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their healthcare provider before undergoing IV vitamin therapy. While certain vitamins and minerals are essential during pregnancy, excessive doses can be harmful to both mother and baby. Additionally, the safety and efficacy of IV therapy during lactation have not been well-established.
6. Children and Elderly Individuals
Children and elderly individuals may be more susceptible to the potential side effects and complications associated with IV therapy. Their bodies may have different nutrient requirements and a decreased ability to metabolize and excrete certain substances. As such, it is vital to consult a healthcare provider before considering IV therapy for these age groups.
